Mr. Raha is a publicly acclaimed leader in global work, creating
Nortel Networks’ major knowledge work Research & Development facility
in 1989, and expanding this capability over the past decade. At
Nortel, Mr. Raha served as Vice President for International Research
and Development, breaking new ground in India, China as well as in
Russia and Brazil. Mr. Raha was credited with jump starting the Indian
IT tech boom.and was rightly called “India’s Catalyst”. Since his
retirement from Nortel in 1999 Mr. Raha has been active in Information
Technology initiatives. He has founded two companies, IPmeeting, a
web-based product company in Canada, which he sold in 2000, and
Eximsoft at Cary NC., a specialist in software product and services in
the area of Mobile E Commerce, Secure Smart Card and Payment System.
Mr. Raha has been a visiting lecturer at Waterloo University, Ontario,
Canada, Consultant to UN .and has held several executive positions
with professional societies and charitable organizations .He was the
Executive Director of United Way Palm Beach County, Member of
Education Committee of the Florida Chamber of Commerce. Currently, Mr.
Raha is the board member of the Canada India Business Council. He is a
graduate in physical science from the University of Calcutta and
electrical engineering from the University of Aston in Birmingham,
England.
